    Who was Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s muse when she fabricated The Little Black Dress?  Was it tailored for a Parisian aristocrat who sought independence from restrictive French fashion or was it designed for an infamous courtesan who lured gentlemen into her boudoir? 
    Perhaps Chanel tailored the enigmatic sheathe to accommodate her contradictory lifestyle.  According to historians, she was a stern couturier by day and a flirtatious femme fatale by night.  She glamorized The Little Black Dress and ignited a “no frills” revolution.  She believed in “the art of simplicity” and altered the course of fashion history.
